For game studios and solo developers

Your back catalogue has more to give.

Source projects, systems, shaders, 3D source and design docs from games you made can be bought or licensed for AI training, with your rights agreed in writing.

Goodwattle works with game makers across Australia and New Zealand, from solo developers with one shipped title to studios with a decade of projects. Start with the engine you used.

Colourful project folders and a kookaburra, full of new possibilities.

Who this is for

Made it? Own it? Let’s talk.

  • Studio founders and owners with shipped or shelved titles
  • Solo developers with source they wrote and own
  • Studios closing or consolidating, with archives to look after
  • Teams with prototypes, vertical slices or game-jam work

You don’t need anything confidential to start. A short description is plenty.

What we look at

Start with what you’ve got.

Rights first

Rights notes for games.

We only offer what is genuinely yours to offer. These are the questions that come up most.

  • Unity: engine, package and Asset Store material is excluded, and the July 2026 terms are checked. Unity details.
  • Unreal: Marketplace, Fab and engine code stay out. Unreal details.
  • Publishers: if a publisher funded the game, check who owns the source and whether AI uses are restricted.
  • Contractors and collaborators: their work needs to be assigned to you or the studio before it can be offered.
  • Godot is MIT-licensed, so the engine isn’t a barrier, but third-party addons still need checking.
