That app, script or clever little tool doesn’t need a launch party to be worth a look. Goodwattle explores purchases and licences for software you own. Tell us what you built and we’ll review the fit.

Good work has more to give

Great at starting things? There’s good work in that.

A side project can solve something useful long before you finish the landing page, find customers or decide on a name.

01

No audience? Start here anyway.

You can enquire about a project with no customers or revenue. We look at the software and materials themselves.

02

A small tool is still a tool

Scripts, apps, plugins and focused experiments are welcome to describe. Tell us what yours does and why you built it.

03

Make room for the next idea

Explore a sale or a scoped licence for work you are ready to move on from. Any offer depends on the materials, rights and fit.

A good place to start

Sounds like
your kind of work?

Tell us the problem you were solving, what you managed to build and where you left it.

  • An app, script, plugin or useful software experiment
  • Something beyond an idea or a to-do list
  • Original work you have the right to offer

A description is plenty for the first step. Please leave out private code, passwords and personal data.

Tell us what you’ve got

A little look. A clear next step.

From old work
to a new conversation.

  1. 1

    Tell us about it

A short appraisal covers your project and how to reach you. A link or small, non-confidential sample is optional.

  2. 2

    Explore the fit

A real person reviews your overview. We discuss the opportunity and arrange confidentiality before a detailed review.

  3. 3

    Consider an offer

If there’s a fit, we put the scope, rights, intended uses and payment in writing. You decide whether to proceed.

A purchase. A licence. A possibility.

A purchase can transfer agreed rights. A licence can let you keep ownership while permitting specific uses, including AI research, training or evaluation. We can discuss a fixed payment, revenue share or ongoing arrangement where suitable. Nothing is sold or licensed by sending an enquiry.

Before you say g’day

Good questions.

A little clarity
goes a long way.

It never made a dollar. Is it worth asking?

Yes, you can enquire without revenue or customers. We assess the underlying work and whether it fits a purchase or licensing opportunity. An enquiry does not guarantee an offer.

What if it is just a weekend project?

Describe it. A small but useful piece of software may be worth reviewing. Explain what it does, its current state and which parts you created.

Do I need to package it as a business for sale?

No. This starts with the code and development materials you own. You do not need a company, customer list or business sale prospectus to send an appraisal enquiry.

What happens after I enquire?

We review your overview and follow up by email. If there is a fit, we discuss confidentiality and any detailed review, then propose the materials, rights, permitted uses and payment in writing. An enquiry is not a commitment to sell or license.

How much could my work be worth?

It depends on the quality, scope, rights and fit of the materials. This is a personal review, not an instant valuation. Not every project receives an offer, and any amount and payment timing are agreed in writing.

What will the materials be used for?

Agreed uses can include AI research, training and evaluation. The agreement sets out the permitted uses and any further licensing before handover. Your initial enquiry does not grant a licence.
